With 25+ years of being a pillar and beloved professor of the graphic design and illustration program at Missouri State University, Cedomir Kostovic is close to retirement. To celebrate, his former students are organizing Cedo25+, a retrospective of Cedo's work plus new work by his alumni.
Cedomir Kostovic is a world renowned designer, widely recognized for his social and political commentary through poster design.
Channeling powerful personal history into his work and teaching, Cedo inspired students to create their own art through both macro and micro approaches. As a professor, he understood the importance of exposing students to art makers who contribute to society, both in the local and global arena. From New York to Paris, Canada to China, Mexico and beyond, Cedo expanded the design classroom. He exposed students to a bigger version of design, by visits to recognized studios for internships, lecture series, and through design competitions worldwide.
